Anna is a Research Fellow within the NorSC lab at Northumbria University. Prior to this, her PhD focused on using human centred methods to analyse how interactive multimodal technologies could be used to enhance topophilia (sense of place) within city centres. Swansea Council were stakeholders of the project which involved deploying a range of community cocreated technologies within the £1.3bn city regeneration project including tangible imbedded interfaces providing an immersive view of the future of Swansea’s regeneration and multisensory rigs (scent, audio and light) dispersing a variety of sensory outputs to provide information about locations and events in Swansea. In addition, Anna has completed a range of collaborative work including the exploration of the reimagining current design tools, teaching to design within blended spaces and incorporating scent devices into different contexts. She has been a part of the organisation of conferences including, General Co-Chair of the Festival of Ideas 2022, Local Chair for EICS 2023, and Accessibility Chair for EduCHI 2022 & 2023.
